Three-pointer with two seconds left lifts Paul VI past McNamara and into WCAC finals

Sophomore Aurea Gingras has many responsibilities for Paul VI. To defend. To provide versatility. To distribute the ball when needed. Gingras will be the first to admit, however, that she is no three-point shooter.

But when the guard found herself on the receiving end of a pass from Ashley Owusu in the waning moments of Sunday's Washington Catholic Athletic Conference tournament semifinal, she didn't hesitate. She set her feet, rose and released. Splash.
